I come here frequently to exercise, or to take pictures. There is always something to see or explore at GINS. Fishing, camping, hiking, a bit of everything. There are restroom as well as camping facilities available. A great place to unwind!

It is wonderful to find this place. It is a natural treasure and preserves the natural environment so everyone can enjoy it. Without places like this I am afraid that the coast would all be commercial or privately held. It was a joy to visit.

Took family to visit recently while over in that location. We found this to be a quiet peaceful park where you can take a walk down a path through the woods or see the river overlooking from a bridge. Information about this place is found...More

We continued to extend our stay day by day. There are lots of places to walk the dog and even a trail that will lead you to "town". The camp ground was nice; although, some of the sites are strangely configured. Simply beautiful! You'll be...More

Great nature walks, beautiful scenery and very tranquil. This has been a personal favorite spot since I was a kid and has not changed that much over the years - the beauty has been preserved. If traveling through the area in a RV or your...More

We love Ocean Springs, and on this February trip, spent more time exploring the area, than we had previously done. In our explorations, we came upon Gulf Islands National Seashore, at Davis Bayou. It had been decades, since I was last in this area –...More

Full disclosure: I was offered a job here as one of the first park rangers, turned it down to experience my first winter in snow! 40 years later my daughter was a ranger here. Many varied activities, from paddling the salt marsh, to sun bathing!...More

Although it was the middle of the winter, we decided to visit the beach. I didn't know how serene the Gulf of Mexico Coast is. I'm sure it's nice in the summer but a lot more crowded.

The Gulf Shore National Seashore, Ocean Springs, Mississippi is a great place to walk off all of those breakfasts, lunches, dinners and get ready for the next. A long, sandy beach with no obstacles. No swimming or diving permitted and we didn't see anyone fishing....More

While the staff here was very nice and tried to be helpful ,it was rather disappointing. The “museum “ was more geared to elementary age children. Which is fine unless you want something more intellectually stimulating. The paths really gave little to view except trees...More

I live by the one in Ocean Springs, first off the is no beach on that park. Ocean Springs beaches about 2 or 3 miles away permit dogs.

Camping is very pleasant. Water and electric only? Minutes from restaurants, shipping and casinos. Highly recommend.
