We finally got a pretty day and we headed to this state park from OB, MS. It took us about 2h to get here. Super easy drive. There is a $4 entrance fee for daily usage. (We never carry cash so we were lucky someone else had the 4 bucks). We drove to the swinging bridge parking lot and parked... More

We enjoyed walking around this park and enjoying some of it's trails! We went on the last Sunday in February and the park was pretty busy! There were lots of families enjoying the sunny day! There were also people walking there dogs and playing outdoor games! If you want peacefulness you could get that too as we walked a trail... More

Great park with many scenic views as Tishomigo State Park offers The Swinging Bridge. Much great scenery, good for family reunions Pictures. Much to do. Very clean upkeep with this State Park in Mississippi. Water. Places for children to play and enjoy. Cabin rentals for primitively based. Great attraction right off the trace.

Overall, Tishomingo was a nice place for family camping. We were disappointed in the low lake level and the size of the camping spots but the hiking trails were great!

We visited this park again for a day visit on the recent Thanksgiving holiday. This park now charges an entry fee. We spent the day enjoying the trails, having a picnic, and finding a few geocaches, It was challenging to find a restroom that was open. We arrived a little later in the morning (after the race/walk) so there were... More

We traveled the Natchez Trace from Nashville here as a Thanksgiving getaway. A very beautiful park, with hiking options and fall photo ops that were postcard. We only strolled due to an unsure knee. The area is incredibly dry from the drought. The bathrooms and pavilions need attention. It is not a place I would attempt to stay, did not... More

My husband I visited this state park at the end of October. There were some great trails and the cabin was awesome. The leaves were changing beautiful colors. We truly enjoyed our stay.

We went to camp. The lake was low and we did not get a great spot because we reserved our spot late in the week. The park has RV sites with water and electrical hook-ups and walk-in primitive camping sites. You might want to call and ask for a spot with a view of the lake because there are some... More

Nice clean park with several good short hiking trails- 7 in all ranging from easy to moderate, most had historical markers detailing the significance of the area. Did not stay overnight but the cabins were in a good location and not too close to one another. Lots of open space and decent picnic areas. Several pavilions available to the public... More
