In 2011, I saw a magazine that told about the world’s largest subterranean lake. I was a fairly new diver at the point with not a lot of experience. I couldn’t believe anything in the world like this exists. Now in 2017, having dove icebergs, geothermal chimneys, Silfra, and with manta rays, I am still equally amazed a place like... More

A friend and I decided to try out the mine dive, we live in St Louis so its a nice short drive for us. Its one of those things I have always wanted to do even before becoming a diver. I was cautious because I had read many bad reviews in the past complaining about either rude staff or poor... More

I found this hidden Missouri gem online for a weekend getaway. While waiting for our walking and boat tour, we unknowingly talked with the owner, Doug. He was very nice and informative. Our tour included my husband, me and Gavin, the tour guide. We were impressed with the mine features and Gavin provided answers to all our questions. I would... More

Visited on a school trip. This was quite a few years ago not 2016 more like 2000 or 2001. Have to say this was one of the most exciting places I have ever been. It was all around awesome and educational. Very highly recommended that you visit this place at least one time in your life. I have small children... More

Otherworldly and my review won't do this dive site justice. Something you have to see for yourself. Spent 3 hours underwater and wish I had more days. Dive trail #4 was the highlight. Staff was also incredible, friendly, knowledgeable and safety is their highest priority. They had a two to one ratio to divers and a follow kayak at the... More

4 cousins from WI visited 11-26-16. Gavon, our tour guide was the best! He's passionate about his job and his guests. Lots of facts. Tour lasted an hour. Light jacket recommended. There are 65 steps down into the mine but all easily navigatable. It's absolutely amazing down below. I highly recommend and would go back. Thanks Gavon!

5 mine dives were enough. The cold water isn't a big deal if you have the proper gear (I was in a 7/8 mil Bare wet/dry & wore sharkskin socks under my boots). The problem was that each dive was very similar to the one before. After 5 very similar dives I'd seen enough. The Caboose was very quaint but... More

I've been wanting to take this tour for a long time. I finally did it! Me and my family were amazed. It's unbelievable that places like this exist. Our guide (Don) was the best! Very knowledgeable and funny to boot!

This was a very interesting tour. Learned a lot about mine and mining. Gavin was a great guide. Even with bad knees we didn't have a difficult time climbing down or up the stairs.

I've seen most reviews are about the diving. My friends and I took the mine tour. Good customer service. Found it confusing because they wouldn't let us pay for our reservations ahead of time. They made me call the afternoon we were coming. Our guide was young and friendly. And knew his stuff. But he didn't hesitate to let us... More
