We were able to hike some of the trails and absolutely loved it. The trails are well maintained and the area is beautiful for hiking. We did stop in the visitors center and the people there were friendly and helpful. The views were amazing.

I don't remember seeing anyone swimming, while we were out sight-seeing. (They just recently had record flooding, so it may not have been safe for swimming at the time we were there). I am providing you with the state parks... More

We were not fishing, only sight-seeing, while we were there. I am providing you with the state park's phone number. (417) 334-4704. Hours are from 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. Have a great vacation!

We plan to be here for a week July 1st. Will a lot of the hiking trails likely still be flooded?

Probably not, but it wouldn't hurt to call the state park to be sure. Their number is (417) 334-4704. They are open from 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
