The Missouri Wall of Fame is not an event, per se, but large wall art you can view as you are walking along Water Street in Cape Girardeau. As the name implies, the large painted walls highlight famous folks from Missouri!

If you stroll to downtown Cape Girardeau, take a few minutes to walk the flood wall and admire some famous Missourians and the artwork honoring them. Very interesting and educational.

This area is well maintained the the artwork always looks fresh. So much history along the different scenes that are painted along the walkway. It's also interesting in seeing the different flood levels and the years that they had happened.

Great place to see and do. Great history of cape Girardeau! The painting is well done and descriptive. Children and adults would enjoy. Must be able to walk on flat surface for 3-4 blocks.

I always enjoy bringing out of town guests to see this! The mural is beautiful, the history is interesting, and it's always fun seeing the tow boats pushing barges up and down the Might Mississippi River!

So much talent "birthed" in this state! I was most impressed by the number of literary stars who hailed from Missouri - from Samuel Clemens to Laura Ingalls Wilder, Tennessee Williams to Maya Angelou. A president, scientists, journalists, movie stars, outlaws, sports stars - the...More

The wall is a nice enough place to take a walk, but it is just a set of murals with little else. Often the people represented don't have the most direct ties to Missouri. Nice, yes. If you're already in Cape, see it. I wouldn't...More
