What a horrible disappointment. My husband and I went to do some Christmas shopping the other day and went to the Columbia mall. This mall has deteriorated horribly. This used to be a place that was wonderful to go to all kinds of interesting shops, interesting things to do but now I wouldn’t waste my time to go again.

Used to be a booming mall in the 80s and slowly declined in the 90s. 2000s and it's just as well be dead; going the way of the Jefferson city mall which though in business is dead as far as shops and foot traffic. Online businesses are killing the malls; that and too much competition. Walmarts are poison to any town when they come in and take away business and kill small businesses. Fulton also had a thriving downtown until Walmart came in and put an end to small town business. Shops couldn't compete with their prices.

This used to be a really nice mall, now it is almost empty! Very disappointed in our last visit here. It always seems busy , so I am not sure if Covid had something to do with some of the shops leaving or something else. It is a nice location though.

Nice Mall
I like the way the food court is all in one place. One level mall is also a plus. I'm from Kansas City, MO. Unfortunately malls seem to be slowly disappearing. In KC there are now only two big malls. Independence Mall and Oak Park Mall. Columbia Mall is much smaller, but well organized and a decent amount of shops. I always go there on game day weekends.

This was once the shopping mecca of Columbia buy today it appears about half the retail space is empty. Sears is gone, Penny's looks like it should have already closed and about the only thing left to stop there for is Barnes and Nobel, Target and LensCrafters. If the current trend continues in a year it will be totally deserted or have been made over into something else. It's sad to see so many retail stores closing their doors when the economy is booming.

There aren’t a whole lot of stores to pick from here. A few department stores and lots of athletic shoe stores, a target and a food court.

I certainly don’t love shopping but when I need to go to the mall, this is fairly painless. Both the interior and exterior lighting is good and the mall itself is clean. There seems to be some turnover and frequently stores move within the mall or close altogether.

This was a great collection of stores. Nothing too far out of the ordinary, but all your standards in one place. It was clean and spacious. There was lots of scattered seating for my less than interested hubs. I felt safe there. Easy parking and access too.

The mall is clean and easy to navigate. There were a lot of empty spaces as far as shops go but over all the mall was nice.
