Rockcliffe Mansion is an amazing Thirteen Thousand Five Hundred SF, Thirty room, Grand Residence built to overlook the Mighty Mississippi between 1898 and 1900 by Lumber Baron John J Cruikshank, Jr. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Most of the original antique furnishings and fixtures are preserved. The Mansion is filled with rich Mahogany, Oak and Walnut appointments, magnificent Palladian windows and the finest interior decorations from Europe and America. Guided Tours are available daily. Great tour, exceptionally knowledgeable tour guide and incredibly well preserved home from the 1860's. The home is incredible and worth the $15 entry price - goes to the upkeep and preservation of the home.

Thank you for your review. The mansion was built between 1898 and 1900 by Mr Cruikshank, a lumber baron, for his second wife and four daughters. It contains most of the original furnitures, light fixtures, plumbing, etc.Thank you for visiting and recommending our museum!!!!

Was a wonderful tour. Our guide Warren was excellent. He shared his knowledge and was able to answer all questions. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Debbie was our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of useful insight. The house is amazing and the history of it is even more impressive. The was worth visiting, and I highly recommend this tour.

Outside of home currently under going renovation, but can still see it's beauty. Our guide, Becky did a fantastic job! She was very knowledgeable on the history of the home. Very beautiful inside.

It's a great place to stop on the Mark Twain trail. Becky did a terrific job with the tour and conveyed some fascinating history about the place and its architecture.
