The remains of this crusaders sea castle, as well as the old souks, is a must see attraction in Sidon! There is a very nice view on the city and the port from the top of the fortress.

This was built around 1200 AD by crusaders to defend against the Muslims. The location is very pretty on an island over the Mediterranean. The structure is also interesting as the crusaders put granite Roman columns in the walls as reinforcements.
