This is an excellent display of the life and work Grenfell in the Newfoundland and Labrador area. The museum is well curated and there is a lot of information about his work. The buildings are beautifully preserved and well maintained. There is a gift shop downstairs that offers some unique products - well worth the visit. If you are in... More

We visited the museum and other buildings without knowing anything about Sir Wilfred Grenfell. It was a real eye-opener to see what he achieved in Newfoundland and why he is held in such high regard. The extensive displays in the museum were well presented and the house well worth a visit. We also enjoyed seeing the Jordi Bonet murals in... More

This centre shows a short film to put you in the picture. You then walk through the various exhibits learning about the amazing doctor and missionary, Dr. Grenfell. A small gift shop has well-sourced items for sale and is worth a visit, too. Very well done.

I have to admit I had never heard of Grenfell or his medical missionary work before I visited St. Anthony on a bus tour, but I found the museum full of fascinating insights not only of the development of modern medical care in the remote reaches of Newfoundland and Labrador, but all aspects of life in this remote area. If... More

Wilfred Grenfell was an amazing person. He achieved in one lifetime what it takes a few other persons to achieve together........ The Grenfell Historic Properties provide an insight to this truly great Englishman and what he did for the early settlers in this part of the world - Both Newfoundland and Labrador. It wouldn't be fair to even start to... More

This house is much as it would have been during the Grenfells' lives, and tells you a great deal about their values and lifestyle. I found Dr. Grenfell's study most interesting. To think how many books were written there! Was unable to take time to do the walk, but it looked well worth the effort. The grounds are very attractive.

The main centre, showing the life of Dr. Grenfell in Newfoundland is quite informative regarding the medical conditions in Labrador and Northern Nl in the late 1800's & early 1900's.
