Mercado del Pueblo is the only Farmer's Market in Nayarit and the first in the Bahia de Banderas. We feature local, organic and natural consumable goods from the region. Recently, local artisans were also added. Every Friday, during the growing season from November-April,come enjoy the products of the area from vegetables and fruits to medicinal products and prepared artisan foods and handmade jewelry. Live music every Friday and street performers make it fun for all! All proceeds from the market go directly to support local projects like water and river clean up, providing biodegradable and natural cleaning supplies to the town and supporting our local children's parks and schools.

Having come back for the second year this market is developing a great following as in one space you can get the best dried mangos I have ever eaten to coffee, to hammocks and traditional crafts.

Went on a Friday ( think this is market day), it is small with local crafts and jewelry. Some foods ( sausage and pork sandwiches, alcohol), hand rolled cigars ( not great but better than the knockoffs sold in town as cubans), fruits and vegetables. Worth an hour.

I wish we had planned more time here. I enjoyed a variety of items to shop. My husband purchased a local instrument. We bout teas and incense, clothing, foods, etc. all were different sorts of things than in the local commercial shops. I would do my grocery shopping to stock your condo here!!!

I am so sorry that you did not make it to the Mercado, our local Farmer's Market! Maybe you can join us on your next visit. The block of vendors in town are local families from Chiapas and surrounding areas who come to town to sell their wares. The Mercado is actually located north of the bridge, in a shaded,... More

I spent my birthday roaming the streets, taking in all the color and life in Sayulita. The shops are full of artistic crafts, there are galleries, lots of street vendors, many different food options and overall fun town to hang in. The farmers market was especially nice as I met up with Roxana Morgante, a local jewelry designer, and treated... More

So glad you got to enjoy our little town and the Mercado del Pueblo. Roxanne is indeed special and has been part of the Mercado for years. All of our vendors are local and depend on us to support their families. Hope to see you on your next visit to Sayulita! More

I loved visiting the farmers market which is not just a market but a great place to snack and eat lunch. I loved the sprout lady's sandwiches - if you're a vegetarian and/or are interested in that type of cuisine she is a must stop. I also picked up a lovely bag made of sheep's wool. The vendor told me... More

Many shops lots of crafts, hippies, and surf shops. Cheaper prices than bucerias and Puerto Vallarta. Many will make it custom while you shop or wait.

We spent a half day visiting Sayulita Town. We drove type-boogies car for a 4 hours drive all the way to town. Small town with a very nice Farm Local Market. We found and excellent Taco Place inside the aisles.

If you are in Sayulita be sure to check out this Farmer's Market. In addition to a wide array of fresh vegetables and fruits, you can also find salsas, spreads and coffees to sample. There are also artisans who sell everything from handmade clothing, sandals, jewelry, hammocks, oils, and candles to name a few of the products. it is best... More

The market was GREAT! Most looked very fresh, some looked a little iffy. Worth checking out. It is not very big.
