Puddleduck Vineyard is a small family Tasmanian Vineyard owned by Darren and Jackie Brown. We welcome you to taste our beautiful cool climate wine at our friendly cellar door, which is open from 10 - 5 daily. Whilst here you will probably meet Polly our wine dog, or Lucky or cellar door duck. Feel free to have a "Reverse BYO" (you supply the picnic food and we supply the beverages) to enjoy while in the area.

Was part of a celebration of over 75 people and the host organised the room and deck over looking the dam. Plenty of room and able to chat between each other. Service was terrific, host was able to organise their own food, ordered drinks from the vineyard. A great day assisted by a great location. Flies were a little pesky.

A small but very enthusiastic family run vineyard with great marketing. Ducks everywhere, in the shop, and fun to watch on the pond too. We had a pleasant sampling of their wines with a cheese board and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Be aware that when cruise ships are in port, you should probably go before noon because they will fill... More

Our tasting was accompanied by a yummy cheese tasting...the stop was pleasant but not necessarily for sophisticated pallets.

My wife brought me here as she had been on a previous trip. The staff in the shop are very friendly and chatty and will let you taste their range of wines and inform you of the flavors and sweetness of the range. The gift shop has a great selection of duck related gifts and many are really funny and humorous.Outside there... Puddleduck is one of many vineyards and cellar doors on this great wine route near historic Richmond south of Hobart. Puddleduck wines are now doing well at wine shows and the vineyard is well worth visiting for a tasting and cheese platters. the grounds are also very nice for a picnic with children. There is a charge for the tasting.

This is an excellent place to meet up with friends and family. You can take your own food but purchase drinks. Relaxing way to sit outside and have a wine with your girlfriends whilst the kids run around in the playground area, kick a ball or turn somersaults!

the wines here are delicious . not a fan of the verjuice though, but the pinot noir is well balanced and peppery just the way they should be.

It's hard to find an adult activity that is enjoyable for adults and children alike but puddleduck vineyard nailed it! Tastings are $5 and complimentary if you end up buying a bottle. The approx cost by the glass is between $10 and $12! There is a fantastic playground and toys for children aged 0-5 and lots of grass for the... More
