This place is awesome! I recommend booking the encounter package. We had a wonderful escort in Alysia who lead us through the animal enclosures. Meeting and learning about the meerkats and marmoset monkeys was such a highlight as well as feeding the lions. Loved every minute of it.

We had an amazing time at Zoodoo. The Safari bus was a lot of fun and fantastic to be able to interact with some animals- the camels, I hadn't laughed that much in years and it's not every day you can pat a zebra or feed a white lion! Will definitely recommend the zoo to anyone and will be back... More

There is much potential for Zodoo, unfortunately it is difficult to see into some of the animal enclosures as the windows are quite smeared. In general the place needs maintenance and a facelift. One of my children and I received scratches from broken wire sticking out on gates. I made a mental note not to bother with a follow up... More

Thank you for your concerns during your visit at Zoodoo. As you would have seen during your visit to our zoo, we are renovating many of our enclosures and constructing new ones for our animals as well as upgrading many areas of the zoo. Our friendly keepers and staff members would have been more than happy to inform you on... More

We spent some time at Zoodoo in Hobart back in November and it was marvelous. Getting to feed so many animals and be up so close with them was a very nice touch. The conservation of the white lions (Kimba theme song played in my head the whole time we were there I swear) is excellent, the presentations are informative... More

We are so thrilled that you enjoyed your day at Zoodoo! The owner wants everyone who visits Zoodoo to not just watch animals from afar, but to get up close to them by feeding and interacting with them. We believe this is the best way our visitors can learn about our animals and about conservation. Its great to hear you... More

I had an adventure pack booking which was $45 fair enough for two people but then to be slugged another $56 for entry I find this very steep for the adventure we had .... yes we fed the lions with tongs through a cage .. yes we patted a koala whilst it slept in the tree ... yes we fed... More

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your day at Zoodoo. At Zoodoo we offer our visitors a large range of close and personal encounters with our unique animals. The encounter you participated in is our Native Animal Package which allows you to pat Shaun our southern koala, feed our Tasmanian devils and hold a baby wombat. I am... More

This place is well worth a visit if only to support the dedicated work of the owners and staff who seem to be trying to create a genuine centre for education and provide visitors with up close encounters that hopefully are not damaging to the wildlife involved. The lions enclosure is somewhat small as are the bird enclosures but hopefully... More

I am shocked such a zoo is allowed in Tasmania. Lions in a tiny caged area. Emus in a paddock bare which was way too small for them. I could go on and on. It is heartbreaking. OMG this place is a disgrace. Human beings do not have the right to keep animals so confined like this. Sure they have... More

We appreciate the concerns you have for our animals and enclosures at Zoodoo. Zoodoo is a privately-owned facility which means that we receive no external funding from the government, all the funding we do receive comes from our visitors only. Therefore, it makes upgrades and new enclosures a much slower process than for government funded zoos. It is important to... More

This is the closest you get to the animals anywhere, other zoos may be bigger, have more animals, but these guys are awesome and we had a great time. Feeding a lion, playing with meer cats, having Jack, one of the excellent staff, fetch some feathers and introduce my daughter to the birds. The bus "safari" was hilarious, feeding the... More

Entry price is a little high and was expecting a bit more for what we paid to get in. Would be good to see more animals and to be able to interact with more animals. Probably best suited to young children. My children aged 8 & 11 enjoyed it, but were bored after about 2 hours. The bus ride that... More

Spent an amazing morning here at Zoodoo. Arrived at 9:45am and managed to make the 10am bus! Payment on entry gives you a ticket on the bus to interact and feed the grazing animals. We were first bus and the animals were hungry and very interactive! The emus lacked manners but the keeper warned us and their feeding habits made... More
