This is a really nice library, with well stocked areas for reading, or information gathering. My only disappointment was learning they do not stay open past 5pm.

FANTASTIC place with excellent service and very comprehensive selections. It's very easy to find books you are interested in and they have wonderful local arts and crafts too.

The business section of his library rivals ATL and CHGO for information I was amazed at what periodicals they had. The last few years the library budget has gotten tight but when I did my graduate work, I lived in this library. My kids grew up in this library , that is why they never were afraid to do research... This is a beautiful Library that is well maintained, They have a Heritage Room for ancestry research as well as a photograph collection of Huntsville from the past. Old newspapers are available on computer. The people are very helpful. The Genealogical Library on the third floor is excellent. If one has a library card, then many online resources are available at no cost. The best known of these is the Ancestry environment. The audiobook and video portions on the first floor are excellent. The staff is willing to help and very friendly.

Everything was modern and the library offered many alternatives. They have special events, musical events, speakers and authors, art displays, historical research area and genealogy department in addition to a huge book collection. There were hundreds of DVDs and a large children's area with programs for the little ones. I took advantage of the computer center training in Word and... More

All the resources one would expect of a library plus a very helpful staff. I love visiting the library (just wish they had a coffee bar too).

Thank Dennis F
