This is a beautiful state park that is kept clean. There is a river overlook that is breath taking. Hiking & horseback trails. A lake to swim in and even a camp ground.

I visited Trail of Tears State Park in January 2017. It was a beautiful place to hike and visit. The overlook of the Mississippi River was very majestic and beautiful. Great place for this area!

It was a nice sunny day, so I decided to take a drive thru Trail of Tears State Park. I have been here many times. This place is simply amazing! Always something different to see or do depending on the season.

Scenic drive past horse farms takes you to the rural setting of this park along the Mississippi River. Wonderful visitor's center with lots of interactive things for kids. Terrific nature walk behind the visitor's center. Beautiful scenic overlook of Mississippi River is a must see.

We visited on Monday for day trip. Center closed so the two of us explored on our own with two dogs. Two thumbs and two paws up. Great river and lake views. So wonderfully quiet except birds chirping, a boat being put on the river,...More
