Way back when Jazz and Blues were evolving, Kansas City was one of THE great jazz cities of this evolving genre. Blues, jazz and barbecue kind of go together in this Kansas City historic district at 18th and Vine. The Blue Room is kind of...More

We were in town for a conference and popped over here to listen to Lisa Henry. The venue was low key and comfortable, prices were right and Lisa Henry was a joy to experience. We were greeted at the door by the "mayor" who ushered...More

A very comfortable place to hear good jazz in a jazz-centric city. No food, but interesting beers on tap (some local) or bottled, also wine and mixed drinks. Good acoustics and sight lines, fascinating memorabilia on the walls and tables (the club is part of...More

You go early and pick out a table among tables not reserved (although supposedly there are not reservations allowed per their web page),and suddenly they just bring more people to your table, no questions asked. Unconfortable situation to you and the new comers.
