We did a free guided tour. The woman was very informative. I never knew that millions of dollars are shredded each day. We watched workers stack and bundle money in a glass enclosed work area. At the end of the tour, we got a little...More

You can probably see everything in about an hour; the tour guides enjoy their jobs! The stacks of money is not something I have seen anywhere else. We went on a special Friday when there was a tour of the art collection. Not many pieces,...More

This was an awesome educational experience for me and my family. There was so much to learn. Every facet of our nation's currency was either shown or explained. Interactive activities were fun! A very small gift shop but has enough to bring home nice gifts...More

The most interesting part of the free Money Museum is the cash vault where one can see Federal Reserve employees handling millions of dollars of cash. There are also some educational exhibits about the Federal Reserve, as well as small collections of coins and banknotes.

It took us about an hour to tour this compact museum inside the Kansas City Federal Bank. Be aware the security people will scan your driver license prior to admission. My favorite exhibit was the coin display of currency in circulation during each president's time...More

I am glad I went to this museum. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. You get a chance to design your own money and watch them move the money from the vault to the men who then count it through the machines. What was nice...More
