since the 1960s I have thought Union Station was a special place. I Traveled from the station by train, my family went for lunch or dinner. the updated /station is just as beautiful and awesome as I remember from my childhood. There are many exhibits that change from time to time so it doesn't get stail. The Science City is... More

A group of us went to see the Pompeii exhibit. The only stop in America is at union station. It was well worth the time. It is a self guided tour that takes you from what is was pre-eruption to the aftermath of the volcano. You go through an area were they have a movie that rein-acts the eruption with... More

It was fun to look at the model trains, but the station itself is not as interesting as ours in DC. Fine to visit if you're in the neighborhood, but don't go out of your way.

Union Station is a time capsule of when train travel was important in the country and the robber barons built cathedrals to it. Incredible architecture, fun model train displays and it is a working train station. Worth checking out.

Union Station is a historic train station that has been restored. It is worth a visit just to see the building, but it also houses Science Center, Harvey's Restaurant, and traveling exhibits that are unique and should not be missed. We just saw the Pompeii exhibit and it is amazing. You can take the trolley to and from Union Station.... More

This is probably one of my favorite special exhibits I've visited at Union Station. It was very well organized and laid out. My husband and I both love history and decided to take his 14-year-old sister who isn't really into history with us to see it. Even she really enjoyed it. My only complaint is that the post eruption section... More

I was fortunate enough to get a VIP pass to the Pompeii Exhibition. It was very interesting and though I went on a Sunday, it wasn't crowded.

We visited Union Station to see the Pompeii Exhibit. Parking was totally confusing. Park in the pershing parking garage. You have to go to the top floor to pay your way out. $10. The exhibit was well organized and showed a good representation of the Gentry of Pompeii. Slaves were discussed alot but only as possessions. Their lives were not... More

This is where i take business guests in order to showcase Kansas City. The building is a true gem and always wows. I'm a big fan of Pierponts restaurant for dinner and Harvey's for brunch. The traveling exhibits are an added dimension and the movie theater is the best in the city. The new street car provides access to the... More

An interesting building to wander through. A little self guided tour is good to walk through and read. A few restaurants but they are pricey
