We came from Florence to Campania in the hope of seeing the "local" attraction at Persano, their otters. We were met by the manager Remigio who gave us knowledgeable low down on the site.We then met Giovanni who took us out for the visit to the Oasi.He explained to us about the fauna that inhabit the area,and took us to the hides for observation and photos. We saw many examples of reptiles and wet land birds. We were VERY fortunate to observe an otter which was hunting/fishing in the water,to our great joy as otters are extremly rare in Italy. This is was certainly one of the highlights of our stay in Campania.
