Reasonable sand, a lot of shady grass, water's ok but mostly for kids as it's still shallow when it turns to boat parking. A great sunset beach - not many in Sydney. There are even footpaths in the area (rare on the peninsula) so it's easy to walk to.

Really nice little beach on Pittwater. Plenty of shade but nowhere near enough parking, so make sure that you get in early.

Peaceful beach, with great perspectives on sunsets, and ideal venue for some sundowners on the beach with friends and family. Can also be a nice romantic spot for couples as well.

The facilities are very good, great bbq spots, toilets are well lit and clean.

A hidden secret of the Clareville locals. The local council is working to add parking to the excellent beachside facilities that include bbq’s and tables right behind the beach. Perfect for an afternoon stroll on the sand and a bottle of bubbles.

On the Pittwater, this is a nice, quiet beach for families, or for those wanting to enjoy Stand Up Paddleboarding or kayaking. Parking is available (very expensive $10 per hour), or free up on the street if you're lucky.

When I found this quiet, protected beach off Delecta Avenue, I felt sorry, that I don’t have small grandchildren anymore. When God designed this place, he apparently was thinking about children. The velvety sand, the calm water, the shade of the protecting trees, all make this beach perfect for kindergarten size people. There are toilets outside showers, electric BBQ-s with tables, free and pay to park, and the Clareville Kiosk to buy some food, or drink.
I’m glad, that after visiting Avalon beach and spent the time to find this little treasure.

Came here with my two teen kids who are not used to the surfing beaches. Loved it and spent a couple of hours swimming in the warm water.

Well worth a visit. Car parking is $6/hr or $25 for the whole day. There is a toilet block at the car park.

Quaint small beach

Tricky to find without a map or GPS. Parking is an absolute nightmare and it is normally almost impossible to find a parking spot. The very small coin operated carpark is often full on sunny days, with no real parking on side streets, unless you want to walk some distance.

Lovely little beach. But not pristine. Sadly people leave their rubbish behind, so not as clean as one may hope :( I have picked up other peoples rubbish on every visit.

Dogs are meant to be prohibited, but were loads of dogs every time I have been.

Not really suitable for swimming, due to nearby boats and no shark net. Be careful paddling through the water at dusk, as loads of stingrays close to shore.

Toilets but no shower. But under the sinks in each restroom, there is a tap, which is good for washing sandy feet.

Whilst this makes it all sound not worth the effort - it really is.

The views over Pittwater are stunningly beautiful

Clareville Kiosk is a fancy restaurant near the beach that requires bookings. Otherwise closest place to buy food and drinks would be Avalon, so arrive prepared.

And remember, please take your rubbish home with you!!

I found myself at Clareville this morning for a stand up paddle session with Avalon SUP. (Definitely do that!) It's a bit hard to find and the map programs announce you've arrived while still on the road. Dip down into that street and you'll see a car park on the beach side.

A beautiful safe beach on the Pittwater side of the Northern Beaches. Difficult to find and used mostly by locals because of that and parking is expensive; 4 dollars an hour at all times. Facilities are good with free BBQ's and picnic tables in the shade of the trees at the beach end of the car park and very modern toilets. However, Clareville Kiosk isn't actually a " kiosk " but a rather upmarket restaurant so if you are planning a day at the beach bring all your food and drink with you. Paddle boarding is available at the beach from Avalon SUP and the owner,Tony, charges 25 dollars an hour.
