A great beach, not to wide not too small, not quite as cute as the cove beaches you can find but I'm a big fan of it. Has showers and a great coffee van week day mornings.

We stayed in Avalon for 2 weeks in February 5 minutes walk from the beach. We are not surfers but enjoyed watching the surfers particularly at the north end of the beach where you can park

We filmed a couple of scenes at this gorgeous beach for House Hunters International and it was lovely and quiet and absolutely stunning! Great back drop for our interviews.

I stayed at Avalon Beach in early Feb. I was fortunate enough to be in a place on the beach. Avalon Beach provides amazing sunrises and sunsets. An easy walk to the beach, we swam in the beach pool as the beach was closed for swimming. Water clean and fresh. Sand is golden and the beach isn't very overcrowded.

We spent a few days with friends who are lucky enough to live in Avalon and made several trips to the beach. There is a tidal pool which is great for kids and adults alike. The swimming area is a little way down the beach, which I'm sure is for very good reason, but be prepared to carry your gear... More

Excellent surfing conditions, a spectacular ocean pool, shade options and the best cafe on any beach in Sydney. Parking is a worry though, especially compared to Newport just down the road which is also pretty good.
