Had a nice time on a boat ride and lovely lunch nearby. Two people in our group wanted to parasail bu unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate due to rain.

We couldn't see over the sides of the bridge very well and the one side had no water flowing over it so it wasn't much to see.

I recommend Grandpa's Ice cream up the road and then, for scenery, take a drive to Ha Ha Tonka and Ozark State Parks to see ruins and swinging bridges

I do feel Bagnell Dam is one of thoes places you have to see just to "see" when you are at the Lake. It does offer really pretty views of the Lake on both sides. Worth taking a drive over.

When you come to the lake be sure that you see the dam. If you get up on the strip there's a large information board with some of the history of the dam. It's very interesting. If you fish for catfish you can get down...More

Bagnell dam top is a two lane dam roadway. Below the dam is campground. I would say no. Two lane roadway with no shoulder and gravel road campground. But check with Osage beach city hall for other access.

They no longer offer guided tours. You can only access the outer portion of the dam on the east and the musuem on the west side of the road.
