I visited these falls as a part of the Ciudad del Este City Tour. It still makes it an incredible experience even after seeing THE falls. For me it was as rewarding as the Iguacu falls themselves, especially considering that it was only me, my friend and the falls. Incredible. If you happen to have an extra day, make sure... More

Lovely falls but after visiting the great falls just across the border the experience is less enchanting and moreover expensive. I walked (16 km up and down) to the Saltos, as they are locally known, from Ciudad del Este. However there are also local buses and taxis going there.

If you are visiting Foz Do Iguacu, it is very worth it to make a daytrip to Pararguay, cross the border from Foz to Ciudad del Este, and from there, you can take a taxi or bus to Saltos del Monday. We have walked over the bridge to Paraguay, but you can easaly take a bus that leaves from the... More

Beautiful beautiful view, but unfortunately all the "upgrades" to the place, are not good enough to attract tourist. The elevator seems flimsy and it wasn't working at the time we visited. There were some "work" being done but we weren't sure because it seemed abandoned so it looked like they were working on something "new" but it looked old? anyway..... More

This waterfalls is beautiful and has a beautiful cycling or walking trail. There are two viewing point. You will have to pay an extra 10 mil Guarani (USD$2) to take the elevator down to the other viewing platform - it is worth it.

From CDE is really very easy to get to the falls. It might not be as spectacular as the Yguazu Falls, but it does has its charm and beauty. Nice cafeteria and pleasant short trails. If you can, combine this visit with a trip to Monument Moises Bertoni.

These falls are amazing. My father in law owns a house about a thousand feet from here. You can sit on his front porch and see the mist rise from the forest and hear the rush of the water. It is a beautiful place to spend a few hours. If it were not for Igauzu falls on the other side... More

Though not promoted much, this is a must if you're around, nice, calm place where the only dominant sound is that of the water falls crushing into the bed of the river some 90 feet below..

I really enjoyed the two hours I spent in saltos de monday, just watching the power of the water. Taking the elevator is worth it, I was impressed all along :) But I didnt visit the Iguazu falls before visiting saltos, which is best to be fully impressed :) I recommend it, before going to the Iguazu falls.

Took a taxi from the hotel. Would not be easy to get there by bus but possible. Small park area where you walk a circular loop to the falls. Check the website for various activities you can do here.
