went there after lunch and took tour. The movie was very interesting. The displays were interesting. Good outside to look over the balcony to see the Missouri river. Learned a lot.

If you ever wondered about how Lewis and Clark actually traveled... this museum will answer your questions. You can see a replica of their boat and they have a great film that explains the history. Wonderful for kids and families. Actually good for anyone who likes history.

Great food, atmosphere and service. Staff is friendly. Food is very good. Everyone liked what they ordered. We had a reservation so we didn't have to wait.

Kids are free but they can not touch anything and it's hard for my 3 & 4 year old not to touch. Plus I was not impressed. I would rather spend my $5 downtown then go back.

Located in a beautiful area with a lovely garden. Enjoyed seeing the replica of Lewis and Clark's boat and the very interesting talk by the folks at the boat house.

There is lots of info on the Lewis and Clark expedition as well as some interesting info about the 200th anniversary re-enactment. You can see the boats from the re-enactment journey. School groups visit here a lot. They had a discount for military members.

Our 5 and 10 year old kids both enjoyed this site. They were given scavenger hunt and activity pages to complete during our visit- with a prize upon completion. The diorama was beautiful. They loved watching the video, seeing the stream table, and dressing up in period costume. We found the center very informative and the staff friendly and knowledgeable.

$5 for adults, $2 for kids Full of replicas, models, and some artifacts. Miniature houses, a campsite, streams, and stuffed animals. Journal entries from Lewis and Clark throughout the museum. A lot of information if you take the time to read it. There's an animal scavenger hunt for older kids. Informative movie on continuous replay. Period dress-up clothes available to... More

The grandkids (ages 1 and 3) really loved the animal hunt -- the "tough" find is the opossum (no spoiler here). The section of the movie we watched (NG Lewis & Clark) inspired me to buy the Blu-ray. Anyone visiting St. Charles should see this place.

The draw here are the boats. These boats really made the trip to observe the bicentennial of the excursion. (A video of it is available for purchase). The problem is this is really a boathouse. The boats are safely stored on trailers behind an iron fence. There is a platform and you can see them some but not like you... More
