Skip this. Museum is totally kitschy and definitely not worth the admission price. The reproduction keelboat and the reproduction pirogue would be interesting if you could actually see them behind the tall iron fence.

We started our trail ride at the Lewis and Clark boat house. Very nice little museum and gift shop upstairs and many large water vessels downstairs. Very busy area for biking and visiting the town and river. Just wish they had a water fountain that...More

Loved seeing the full size boat replicas- really makes you understand the difficulty of going upstream! The short video was very enjoyable and informative. Very educational.

I'd bring the grandkids in to visit. All that really grabbed us was the replica keelboat behind the fencing on the ground floor. No ramp available to get high enough to see in the inside, so only one of us was able to take a...More

There were some interesting facts regarding the history but nothing out of the ordinary. Best part is it's closeness to other things to do in the area.

The Boathouse is so interesting. Adults learn so much and children are fascinated with the history and the scavenger hunt for different animals throughout the museum. My grandchildren love it. We recently took visitors from Indiana and they spent so much time enjoying following the...More

I love the legend of Lewis and Clark. So when I went to run the Katy Trail in St Charles Mo, I stumbled into the L&C Boat House. This is small, and focused on the boats they used. Informative and you see true working replicas...More
