Tailed by an employee the entire time, not much fun

Since the change in ownership, this place has really changed. What once was a fun, family-friendly atmosphere feels a lot more strict and less enjoyable. Our group consisted of... read more

They have 3 courses we played 2 and it was fun. It's a cash only place and kids need to be 5 to play. The score card says "after a hole is played do not replay or practice" I heard them say they shut down in the winter but they exactly when. That also have food: hot dogs, nachos ,root... More

I've been coming to Cool Crest since I was a kid, and I don't even live in St. Joseph. My aunt and uncle and cousins do. They took me to Cool Crest 40 years ago when I was growing up, and I go there now with my own kids. They love it!

This is a very special place for most older locals & stays very busy daily with families & younger people. The mechanical items you hit a ball through are really top quality & nostalgic. All the courses are in excellent shape. There is a snack area to have root beer or treat. It's a gorgeous place. Our teenagers really enjoyed... More

I thought taking a six year old boy for his first putt putt experience would be fun? I was wrong!! Once they get your cash, they will follow you around the course and stare at you! The course is very old and dilapidated, our balls kept getting hung up in the pipes on a few holes, and they don't know how... More

Since the change in ownership, this place has really changed. What once was a fun, family-friendly atmosphere feels a lot more strict and less enjoyable. Our group consisted of myself, my elderly parents, my fourteen year old daughter, and ten year old son. Obviously, we are not at all a threatening group. We just wanted to have fun as a... More

My husband and I went to Kansas to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We both grew up in Lincoln and have many memories of playing golf at Cool Crest. When they tore down the course in Lincoln, several of the pieces went to the St Joseph location so it was double the fun!

I have memories of Cool Crest Garden Golf when there used to be a location in Lincoln , NE. We heard there was a C C G G in St. Joe so my wife and I took a weekend trip to check it out. We played Jan's course because the girl at the counter said there were a few things... More

My group of 5 adult players paid around 40.00 to relax and play. Instantly we were instructed firmly to break our group up into three and then two. We actually did this and began playing and enjoying ourselves! The place is a little old as it's been there a long time, but that is part of the charm. We were... More

Tried to have a family fun night with grandparents and grandkids. We split our family into 3 groups - 5 teenage grandkids, 4 men, 3 women. My sister in law decided not to play and went with the grandkids to take pictures of them, since we haven't been together in years. We were having a great time until a mean-spirited... More

I would never recommend spending your time or money here. We were one of only 3 groups at the course today. So 3 or 4 ahead and behind us were not being used. My older son and I were finishing up hole 16 so my younger son was playing back on the last hole. An older man from behind the... More
