Went there Saturday, May 13,2017 for a graduation. And even though the threatre stands were 90% full with graduates and spectators, none of the concession stands were open. The crowd sat out in the hot 80+ degrees weather for 4+ hours with nothing but warm...More

Where else can you receive Broadway level entertainment for free? Great way to introduce your kids to theater. And if you want to sit closer, there are good seats at a variety of different prices. It does get a bit sticky on hot summer nights,...More

The Muny is my favourite way to spend my summer. We always go and sit in the free seats, yes they are the last 5 rows of the theater, but you can see over everyone else's head. Use strong binoculars and you will not miss...More

Nothing makes me more excited than receiving the Muny catalog in the mail each March. Most of the offerings are traditional musicals, but they have a couple of selections each year that are current. It boasts one of the largest stages in the US and...More

Had closed for the season on our visit but was impressed at the line up of performers over the decades and would love to catch a show but imagine seats are at a premium and snapped up by the locals ? Nothing beats an outdoor...More

We have been season tickets holders for decades. We always enjoy the shows and the atmosphere. Usually a good variety of old and new shows each season. Season tickets are an excellent value! We usually pack a picnic or get takeout and use our folding...More

Really cool venue except when the weather is really hot! Can have some tough nights with the heat. The shows are typical summer stock but the talent is pretty good, the presentations are great and the crowds are receptive. An absolute must for anyone visiting...More

It is really authentic experience when attending an outdoor play at the Muny in Forest Park! It is worth the experience to go see a play during the summer time in St. louis

I went to see Aida with friends on its penultimate night and was so impressed by this open air theater venue. Loved the costumes, the acting was wonderful. My friends had a season ticket for the 2016 Season. Their daughter was so taken with the...More

Fantastic! So impressed with the sound system and stage. Attended all 2016 Season. Even if the play wasn't my favorite the productions were great. We sat in the free section in the back (who ever heard of FREE seats) and were always able to get...More

We are planning to bring a blanket and chairs to picnic on the Muny grounds. Will we be able to stay in that same spot to watch the performance? (Instead of getting in line to get the free seats.)

No. There is not ground seating that would give a view of the stage. People typically picnic before the show, and if you are going to sit in the free seats, set up your picnic while you wait in line.

There is no description that I could see of what kind of activity this is, what you do, what is the goal, etc. All I saw was reviews. Full description of this attraction please.

The Muny is the largest outdoor theater in the United States and it puts on Broadway style musicals throughout the summer months. The cost for admission tickets can be pricey, but the final 9 rows are free!!!
