This is always one of the best day trips we take. If you get an opportunity to watch the Sea Lions, it is definitely worth the extra ticket price.

Fantastic zoo! Free admission, charges for special things like the train ride but can easily spend the day without opening your wallet. Go early, park on the street, take your own picnic. Also enjoy the architecture.

We visited the zoo the evening of November 25, 2016 for the Christmas Light display. It was well worth it. The lights were great and it was a great time for all. I recommend going here if you can.

Despite being a hot day, we had a ball. The exhibits were well done. The animals were easy to view, and there were enough places to get out of the heat if we needed to. Easily the best hippo, and elephant enclosures that I've ever...More

There is a lot to see at the zoo. A shorter sunnier day may be preferred.
