Don't take the name so literally. We're about fun. Not your white walls, walk around, and be quiet museum. If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, we're the place. If you get freaked out easily, you might not want to come. We're four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there's the roof with a Ferris Wheel and a bus hanging off its edge.

Picture a combination of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and the Thunder Dome from Mad Max...there you find yourself in the City Museum. I'm not really sure why it is called a museum, but it is a series of crazy tunnels and slides and jungle gyms that are an absolute blast. There are "No Maps" and you will probably lose... More

Hours of exhausting fun! Don't let the name fool you. This is NOT a traditional museum! It is interactive where you climb in, on, through. And even under the exhibits. My kids are 13 and 17 and have loved this place for years.

So much to see and do. Can spend a whole day here. Very detailed inside and outside. I highly recommend checking it out. I know my family will be back!

There was still a lot of very interesting things to see, but we were not small enough to crawl around in all the tight spots. My fear of heights didn't help either. I could see how kids would love this place.

President' Day visiting St Louis my husband and I made this stop. We had heard great things and were not disappointed! This very interactive museum was so much fun and made us feel like kids! The caves were a bit dark in areas and we used our phone flashlights to see but this darkness didn't bother the kids crawling around!... More

City Museum is as unique as they come. Basically a 4 story jungle gym for kids and adults alike! You better bring your inner child though :)

We weren't sure what this was like but glad we came. Crazy paths all over like a wacky playhouse. We enjoyed the slides (even the 10 story one), the organ music, circus acts and the detailed decor. Must not miss if you have children or want to feel like a kid.

Lots to see, do and explore here! Great for kids of all ages, might want to bring knee pads and a flashlight for some of the tunnels. All the slides were my favorite! Definitely go!

I went with my son and grandchildren and had a great time. I would advise not to go with really young children (2 or under). We wanted to go on the slide but couldn't because of the youngest child in our group. You need to plan on an entire day because there is so much to see and do.

My family had the best time at the City Museum. It was a non-stop adventure. Just keep good hold on your phones when climbing!!
