Powell Symphony Hall... Why haven't I spent more time here? Absolutely breathtaking. I've lived here my whole life and this is the first time I've been here in my adult life (today for Harry Potter in concert). The building is unbelievably beautiful and has so much history. From the chandeliers in the hall to the auditorium and the incredible room... More

We went to Powell Hall to see Michael Cavanaugh sing Billy Joel and it was outstanding. We usually see classical presentations with our excellent St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, but this was a first for us seeing contemporary music performed in the Hall. Excellent show! Incredibly talented young man had the whole house up and clapping. We really enjoyed it.

This is a superb St. Louis establishment. I come at least once a year for the Christmas concert and I love it. I also came for Valentine's Day and it was so special. I recommend sitting in the balcony to have a full view of the stage.

We came Friday night for the music of Michael Jackson. It was my first visit. Parking was easy as we arrived early enough for street parking. Meters cut off at 7. The theater is small and quaint making all seats good. There's a wine bar called the Dark Room less than a block away for wine and food options. We... More

We attended a Michael Jackson tribute at Powell Symphony Hall and had an excellent time. There is adequate parking just adjacent to the building for $10. This isn't considered a really safe area, but it felt safe. The venue itself is nicely done with great acoustics and not a bad seat in the place. The bathroom lines move quickly and... More

The day the St. Louis Symphony became a bunch of thieves. You all know know how much I love music and love supporting the arts. That's one of the reasons why I was excited to go Gypsy Caravan. It's a major fundraiser for the St. Louis Symphony. However, they have royally screwed me over and I am so angry that... More

We've been to Powell Hall several times over the years and have always had an enjoyable time. While the symphony always does an outstanding job we also enjoy the special presentations. We especially enjoyed the screening of popular films above the orchestra while they reproduce the scores from the production. They do a wonderful job of keeping pace with the... More

I was transformed to another dimension as I sat in the magnificent Powell Hall. I attended a live symphony playing the musical sound track to the movie "The Godfather" while the movie was shown on the screen. The conductor was masterful and flawless with his timing and rendition. Bravo! We have a world renown symphony and a spectacular venue with... More

We came for a Friday 10:30 a.m. concert. The hall itself was beautiful, and the acoustics were spectacular! The musicians in the symphony were very talented. The parking, however, was worse than the website led us to believe. We ended up at metered parking and one of us had to run out at intermission to plug the meter. If youu... More
