We were seeking a church to attend Mass and found this gem just steps away from the Arch. It was a welcoming congregation and a beautiful church. The history was interesting. There is a museum, but it was not open while we were there.

Was so glad we stopped here. The mosaics on the ceiling are amazing works of art. Remember to practice good manner here as this is a working parish. Be quiet and take in the peacefulness and the art.

The Basilica of St Louis was closed when we were there on a Friday afternoon, but we still got to enjoy the external architecture.

Nice to see. It's was the first Catholic Church across the Mississippi River. There is a lot of construction going on around the area but it's worth visiting and see the quaint, beautiful church.
