A nice spot in the heart of the town

Was this the best wine I've ever had? No. But it was a nice spot to sit on the porch, drink a cup of wine and watch people walking by. We wanted a place to go on Saturday evening... read more

Wine was not to my taste. The staff was friendly. We enjoyed a nice picnic on the historic front porch in a lovely neighborhood.

Excellent variety of wines. Courteous hostess greets you and offers free samples of the wines made at the winery. Quite relaxing stop in the middle of this historic town. You can enjoy a glass (or bottle) of wine under the arbor or on the rustic front porch. If the temperature is cool, there is seating inside the building. This historic... More

We wanted a place to go on Saturday evening before our dinner reservations, so it was nice to walk a couple of blocks here and try their wines. They're open... More

I recognize that serious wine enthusiasts are skeptical of Missouri wines in general. However, I have found some Missouri wineries (Stone Hill, Chaumette, etc.) that do a decent job. Ste. Genevieve Winery is not one of them. A quick glance around their tasting room (or on their website) will tell you that they specialize in fruit wines. Nothing wrong with... More

Most of the wines I wanted to try were out of stock. I settled on a white wine. It wasn't that great. We got served our wines in plastic cups (which in my opinion is extremely tacky). We sat outside on a lovely spring day only to listen to loud pop music. The whole experience wasn't worth it.

Had a frozen fruit wine while at the street fair - delicious! This started us on the wine tour where we stopped at 3 more wineries. Lots of fun.

Nice little winery. They have a nice little garden to sit in. They offered some blue grass music on the weekend were were there. Enjoyed a glass of wine before moving onto the wine trail.

This winery is in the heart of old Town Ste. Genevieve. The staff was very helpful and we bought a bottle of their Christmas Plum wine. They are the only winery we visited in the area that did not charge for tastings.,

We arrived in the afternoon, and the guy behind the counter didn't seem as accommodating with the wine tasting as I would have liked. He should've steered us to the best wines he had, but he let us pick and choose which ones to try -- how should we know which ones are good? More direction needed.
