Dickerson Park Zoo is where people and animals connect. Enjoy getting outside and enjoying the natural beauty of the area while seeing and learning about animals from Africa, Tropical Asia, South America, Australia and North America. See the reptiles at the Ambler Diversity of Life center, ride the Titus Express miniature train, get up close and personal with the giraffes on the giraffe deck (giraffe feeding an additional fee but observation deck is free) and visit the petting zoo. Cafe and gift shop also available.

We took our young grandchildren to this zoo, and we all thought it was a great adventure. The animals seemed to be well cared-for, and there was a good variety if animals too.

Our first visit with 3-1/2 yr old and 17 month old granddaughters..loved it! Not crowded, reasonably priced and feeding the giraffes was the best!!

I hadn't been to the zoo since I was helping with one of the grands field trip during the school year a couple of years ago. Although the layout isn't any different, they are continuing to make improvements. They have had many infant animals here...More

Thank you for visiting and for becoming a FOZ (friend of the zoo!) Hope you enjoy many visits with your grandchildren.

Our kids enjoyed most of the zoo. It's big enough to have plenty of animals for the kids, but not so big that they are completely exhausted from walking it. If you go you MUST feed the giraffes. It's four dollars for the food and...More

This zoo, because of the diversity of the animals and the terrain, is a nice place to take the children or just get some good exercise. There are lots of open-air exhibits which are very enjoyable. Though observing some of the window displays is difficult,...More

Not too big, not too small. Great animal exhibits and can only mention that some species aren't acclimated to this area & may not be visible all the time - nothing to be done about that. We hated losing the hippo, but he has a...More

The price was affordable for us to stop on the way back home from the lakes. The staff was so friendly, the animals all look content and taken care of. The train was a cute little ride, we got to see a lot of ground...More

Thank you for stopping and visiting Dickerson Park Zoo. Glad you enjoyed the visit and wish we could have done something about the heat! It has been pretty brutal lately.

We were in the area visiting some family and decided to check the zoo out. I must say, we were impressed. The lay out is a little strange, but all in all it's an awesome zoo! Make sure to have 2-3 hours when visiting. There's...More

Yes. It's a small area. Mostly goats. There's food you can purchase from a machine. The giraffes are not part of the petting zoo-however, you may purchase items in that area to feed the giraffes. My granddaughter loves to... More
