We took a long walk on this easy to follow trail, high above the city. A few parts were a little bit strenuous but mostly it was pretty easy. It was pretty popular with the locals- lots of people running and walking dogs.

I grew up in Billings, playing on the Rimrocks. The rims encompasses more than one park, with ample parking and natural trials. Commonly used for walking and hiking, mountain biking, dog walkers, photographers (views of the city, valley, and several mountain ranges), and climbers. These rimrock formations appear as cliffs on the north side of the city, upon which the... More

I have hiked and walked the rims for over 30 years. They are constantly evolving. Can easily spend an afternoon up there enjoying the sun wind and big open skies. There is a bike path for bicycles. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

The Rims as they are called by locals run along the north edge of Billings and separate Billings from Billings Heights. There are trails along the Rims and parks as well. When further west by Zimmerman Park, there can be rattlesnakes so use common sense. Great place to watch thunderstorms from .

Great walking trails if dogs picked up after and a scenic view of several mountain ranges: Beartooths, Pryors and Little Wolfs I think.
