A small but important establishment which supports rescue bears. They provided a well informed out line of the life of the bears and how to respond to them. Even if a little too long. Bella and Brutus were having a lovely time in the pond and it was remarkable to see them so up close.

This centre is outside of Bozeman, Montana but is right beside a main highway. On first appearance it looks uninviting but once inside and close to the Grizzlies, the Guide gave us an excellent presentation which taught us so much about the Grizzlies way of life.

Montana Grizzly Encounter offers the best and safest way to see a Grizzly up close. From the highway approach you would never guess that an authentic high mountain habitat hides behind the log walls surrounding the enclosure. It is clear that the bears are happy and enjoy their environment. This venue provides a terrific opportunity for up-close Grizzly photo opportunities... More

I sat for about an hour watching this ADORABLE bear play with a stick / bone all by himself tossing it up in the air and failing to catch it. He was so happy and having so much fun; it was a joy to watch! His friend was not nearly as impressed which was also entertaining to watch :)

The Montana Grizzly encounter is a must stop on your way in to Yellowstone. The caretakers of five rescued grizzlies do a wonderful job at educating the public on bear safety. The information may just save your life, and you'll be helping to protect the bears, too.

My husband and I visited the Grizzly discovery centre on our honeymoon. We came to Montana just as the bears were coming out of hibernation and I was nervous about hiking without knowing what to do if we encountered any hungry bears! It was only $15 total for the two of us and I think they said nearly all of... More

This is an encouter for rescued grizzly bears. Great to see them so close, not wild but still in a kind of natural habitat. The people working here have very much information about the bears and also about what to do when you see one in wildlife. Very informative and a great place for the bears, they seem very happy.

This place is a rescue for Grizzly bears, the enclosure gave us a close up view of the bears. They have a guide there that gives a lot of details about the bears. Would recommend this for families.

We arrived 15 minutes before opening ,thinking we would be first ones there, no more people ahead of us. Very reasonably priced at $7 per adult and it is good for 2 days. Staff are very knowledgable, and have a very educational approach to there park. We spent 3 hrs there and learned continuously during that time. I would suggest... More
