"Our Lady of the Rockies", a 90-foot statue sitting atop the Continental Divide is the result of a dream and six years of hard work. With the help of generous donations and a wealth of love and faith, countless volunteers completed a seemingly impossible task. On December 29, 1985 "Our Lady" was placed on the East Ridge to overlook Butte, Montana. The base sits at an elevation of 8510 feet above sea level and 3500 feet above the mile high city of Butte. The statue, lighted and visible at night, is a spectacular sight to behold.

This is a really neat place to go. They have a movie before you take a bus ride up the hill. It's a really curvy dirt road. They have a lot of memorial plates.

Statue is beautiful to see. The ride there and back was very rough - school bus on a very, very bumpy dirt/rock road. You can't drive there on your own as it is on private roads with locked gates. Recommend calling ahead for reservations and...More

We wanted to go up there, but for that we needed to go on the place shuttle and we could not drive which meant we could not leave when we needed... I was not happy about it, as I really wanted to visit the place.

The other times I tried to visit the shrine, the tours were cancelled because of poor weather (snow or freezing rain). The guides who drove the vans were very pleasant and informative. Seeing the impressive statue of Our Lady was well worth my coming to...More

I wasn't looking for anything to see or do while in Butte but you can't ignore this structure. It is eye catching and very impressive.

the city of Butte. Very nice. Very kind considering what happened to these workers in the 1800's. Worth the visit.

A cheap ride to the Lady of the Rockies, great experienced driver giving plenty of information and stopping to get better photos. I am glad I didn't have to drive that road, felt comfortable with such an experienced guide. $14.00 was well spent and definetly...More

About 30 minutes. On one of our trips we were in a van and the other trip we were on an old school bus. You spend about 45 minutes with the Lady.
