This ride up to the edge of Glacier National Park's jagged peaks was the best introduction to the East Glacier area. Our guide made it special with stories of ranching and introduction to Blackfeet history. The elevation gain and views were exceptional and the horses...More

There were so many things to love about our ride with Jimmy, Myron and the dog who accompanied us on the trail (he seems to supervise everyone/everthing at Glacier Gateway Outfitters). Expansive views, well trained horses, and enjoyable riding through open meadows and creeks that...More

The two hour trail ride exceeded out expectations from our family's experienced riders to our 8 year old. The scenery was gorgeous and we even sampled some "June berries" on the way up the mountain. The terrain was perfect for all riders. The guides were...More

They offer showers for campers. They provide you with shampoo, conditioner, soap and towels!! It was the best shower I've had in a long time. Clean area, private bathroom. Well worth the $8 pp.

This is a great activity to do as a break from hiking at Glacier. The guides were great and the trail was all on blackfeet reservation. There are other horseback riding companies in the area but we chose Glacier Gateway because you really do feel...More

Guides Sierra and Jimmy were professional, knowledgable, and fun with our novice family. The horses were well trained and very familiar with the trail which made us feel comfortable riding them. On the way up to Mt. Henry, the horses smelled a bear ahead on...More

I had been in two minds as to whether to go for a ride whilst visiting Glacier, fearing that it would just be a nose to tail trudge along a muddy track. Maybe that is what it's like in the Park, but gosh I'm glad...More

We are in walking distance through out East Glacier. Just walk along hiway 49 to the stables on the east side of 49. just across from the East Glacier Lodge and next to the AmTrack Station. Horses leave from that location.

yes it is good for fist timers. There are guides to help you at the corral and mounting blocks, and guides will be with you to help you the entire ride. Both on and off any time. Horses are great.
