Viewed the place where the Missouri River starts by the 3 rivers flowing together. The river and banks are sand and gravel and the water is crystal clear, not like most rivers at home.

The whole stretch from below Canyon Ferry dam to Pelican rapids is worth checking. Rent a raft, drive the frontage road or get a floaty and jump in!

We were there in the dead of summer and caught some great trout, Rainbows and Brownies. The largest checked in at 7lbs, 8 ozs. Not bad for fishing in July. Beautiful area.

One of the best and most scenic rivers in the western US. Lots of put-ins and take-outs. River is pretty easy - no rapids and if you want to hit a rock you'll have to buy one.

Had a great time fly fishing the Mo. The spring conditions were in full force but the fishing was still good.

We have explored most of the Missouri from it's headwaters to Great Falls. Great fishing and floating. Day trips or I hope someday to run the full length to the Mississippi.

The day we went the weather was terrible but it was still more than worth it. The scenery is fantastic in ANY weather. Plan a bit better than we did and you'll LOVE this place.

We entered the Mighty Mo via the town of Craig. The scenery and wildlife are spectacular. It's a great river for fly fishing and/or a raft float. The staff at Cross Currents Fly Shop were super helpful in renting us our raft and running our...More

The significance of the Missouri River is unparalleled in American History. Lewis and Clark, trappers, traders, Indian dug out canoes, Paddle Steamers, modern camping, fishing, boating etc. It thrills me overtime I see this river.
