Full disclosure, I am a member here, but with good reason. Their collection is unrivaled in Montana. Their exhibits are not to be missed. They tend toward the contemporary, but it's always very approachable work. I am so grateful for the Holter. I visit as...More

My daughter is an amazing artist so we went to pacify her but when we got there I found out that it was really an enjoyable experience. I'd suggest it as a great time for anyone whether you love art or not.

We recently saw an art show by Bitterroot Valley artist Pam Caughey, at the Holter Museum. The lighting and gallery space were excellent. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the workj shown as well as the museum environment.

This small museum makes good use of its few galleries. We enjoyed seeing the works of three very different artists plus an exhibit of historic motorcycles.

It's an art museum in the middle of an area not known for art. They do what they can. It's not worth going out of the way for.
