❤️❤️❤️this is a beautiful area for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Perfect for families and pets and fun days with the one you love. The bridge is scary, but I overcame the fear today and went across. I've wanted to for years!! So much fun!

Not for the faint of heart or those afraid of heights. However, it's a must for us every time we visit Libby. Amazing vistas and a sense of the power of creation.

This is not to br missed. If you are anywhere in northwest Montana or northeast Idaho this is to cool to pass up. However, even those with the slightest fear of heights better think twice. Located just outside of Libby, the area is pretty remote. There is a bit of a hike through the woods but the signage is very... More

Worth a little drive to take some pics. Beautiful countryside. Go out of tourist season to be alone.

I went to discover the Kootenai Swinging Bridge by myself on the Friday of Spring Break this year. I guess I picked the place no one else did. There were only two vehicles in the parking lot that morning. The hike to the bridge is not strenuous. It does included some stairs, however. It crosses above railroad tracks very safely.... More

This little park, and the hike to the falls, the swinging bride are absolutely amazing. Beginning in mid May to Mid September there is a little locally run snack bar off the parking lot, with picnic tables and shade on hot days. we have been to this place so many times that we have lost count. If we have visiting... More

The trial was a bit slippery and it took some time to get to the bridge, as it was November and snowy. My family had a wonderful time taking pictures of the falls and would recommend to anyone to stop and take in the sites.

Great short trail from the edge of Highway 2 about 15 miles west of Libby. Nice picnic area right near the parking area and then a short trail leads down toward the river with a view of the falls and to the swinging bridge. You can access this during the winter but be warned that the trail is not maintained... More

The parking lot is off of Rte 2. Follow the path past the bathrooms (hold your nose). The path goes over the railroad via a waling bridge. If you take a right at the T you will come to where the Falls are which is quite amazing as in the power and loudness it produces. If you go left you... More

A real suspended foot bridge over the beautiful Kootenai River. The short hike also takes you to the Kootenai Falls which is spectacular! Other hikes nearby include the Old Hwy 2/Shannon (accessible through Hwy 2 or Hwy 56) Lake trail and the Ross Creek Cedars (Hwy 56).
