Spent many hours hiking/snow shoeing in the area. Terrain varies from nice and flat -- easy hiking/walking to hilly and more challenging. Our go to New Years Day walking area.

Riding the local urban bike trail, there were no signs when it ended. But I met and followed two locals pedaling to McKay Flats. A really nice ride in an urban area. They suggested riding over the hill to the Blue Mtn Rec area. All...More

Enjoyed getting out to stretch the legs and get some fresh air. There were miles of possible trails to take that ranged from easing walks to more strenuous hiking. Saw some amazing overviews of the city and surrounding areas.

Miles of trails, open meadows and wooded areas. Lots of friendly dogs/owners. We go all the time as it's so close. Wish everyone would clean up their own poops.

Access to trails and river close to town. Easy for children and families to spend time in the outdoors without having to travel very far.
