Stop by the International Headquarters of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and learn about one of the most majestic animals to walk the earth. The exhibits are first class and very well done. Lots for both adults and kids to look at and learn about the Wapiti (Native American Indian word for "white rump").

This is an impressive building with a nice display of mounted animals. A nice break, if traveling by car. Free to look, nice bathrooms and a small store area. Lots of information too.

We stopped at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation on our way to Glacier Park. They have very nice interpretive displays and information appropriate for kids and adults. My wife also bought several tee shirts for the grand kids. This is well worth your time to see and a nice break from driving. For elk hunters a must stop.

This display is very well done. Very educational and beautifully planned. A great treat for all ages. Great expertise has been applied to display, information, ambiance and one can spend quite awhile in there. We were happily surprised at what we saw.

RMEF headquarters visitor center is a great learning center for the impact this foundation has on the health of the elk conservation in North America. Don't miss the property walk, a nice little break from the car.

Things to see here are interesting but somewhat limited. A good place to go to kill an hour or so but probably no more. Great mounts if you are into Elk.

The location is really well placed being right next to the highway. The diorama was well kept and was very informative. I really enjoyed looking at all the record elk and the non-typical elk especially. Took the small trail outside after, it was a nice touch. The staff is friendly, everything is clean and we'll maintained. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed... More

This was a very interesting place to see, had excellent taxidermy, and great information about their foundation. The staff were knowledgeable and were very willing to answer questions. This would be an excellent place for a school field trip.

Learn about elk in the Montana area. The hands on exhibits are great for kids and adults alike. The mounts they have are amazing! A nice gift shop is on-site as well. Free to the public.
