We saw a PBS special on this great woman pioneer photographer and have since read more on her. The signs on the interstate reminded us to visit as we sped by It isn't open all the time, this is a small rural town that depends on volunteers. But it is well worth it. It really shows the beauty of the... More

Open all summer then in the fall/winter just call one of the guides listed on the door. They're all locals with a love of history. You won't be able to stop talking to them. Some great items in the museum. Make sure to ask about Mr. Gaub's badland tours!

The Museum was closed on the day we were in Terry but we lucked out and one of the lovely Museum ladies was touring another couple so we joined in. This is a gem. The museum it self is spectacular and the Cameron Gallery is the icing on the cake. If you can at all do it, plan for a... More

Originally stopped here because we saw signs on the interstate and remembered reading about the Cameron Gallery on the internet. Were met at the Cameron Gallery by a woman from the Prairie County Museum next door. She let us in and gave us a personal tour of the Gallery and lots of background on Evenly Cameron. She was very enthusiastic... More

The ladies at this museum - all of them - are extremely helpful in finding photos and information on family members from the area.

This place is great when you can get in to see it. Often there is no one there to let you in, even during the posted hours. Once you get in though, the museum and Cameron Gallery are great! Worth seeing, but call ahead to see if they'll be there!

We stopped by this lovely little town in June 2010 to see Evelyn Cameron's photos that were taken 1894 to 1928. We were very pleased to visit museum and the Cameron Gallery which is right next door. Our tour guide was an elderly women in a wheel chair. She had so much knowledge of the area and also Lady Cameron.... More

If you love tiny little ranching towns just bursting with "quaint," you'll love Terry. It's a two-road town, really, featuring one restaurant, one hotel, a gas station, and the Prairie Drive-Inn, an old drive-in theater. We stopped in Terry to see the Cameron gallery, photographs taken by Lady Cameron in the late 1800s, documenting the hard life on the plains,... More
