Beautiful park. There is something for everyone here. We spent the day fishing and just enjoying the park. We'll be back.

This is a wonderful place to take your animals and children for a quiet sunday afternoon. Throw the ball, Fido will retrieve it for you.

This is nearly a daily activity for hounds Ani and Jesi2 to come here, run, hunt, and play. Always a favorite hike area also. Maintenance crew here works hard to keep everything nice for everyone.

A wonderful park with a lake, lots of trees, and many trails. Birding was fabulous, even though the weather was quite overcast.

I live nearby and frequently visit cottonmill lake. Very relaxing. They have a natural swimming pool too. Great if you are sensitive to chlorine.

I walk my dog here all the time, we like the hilly terrain through the trees on the east side of the park. Oldfather Prairie is a great place to bike off road and the hills are challenging. Check out the new addition, Lorma's Overlook,...More

If you contact the City of Kearney, they will help you more with these questions. You can also use the shelter for the cover and then set up your own tables and chairs also. Great place to spend the day!!
