A beautiful garden in the heart of the city. Many unusual annuals and some tropical plants like banana plants. Different color scheme every year. Winter interest with statuary and large pavilion.

We had a picnic lunch on a Spring day. Joy! The flowers and pools were clean and colorful. Great for a few moments of nature in the middle of town.

The Sunken Gardens are a great place for a short visit. The gardens are multi-level having many flower beds and some coy ponds. On our last visit some of the early sun exposed daffodils and tulips were past their prime. Other shaded plants were still in a nice blooming state. This garden is free to the public and is in constant change as different varieties of flowers bloom and grow. Right now the tulips are the "pretty" part, but as the season continues, many other flowers bloom and change. The ponds have large goldfish and interesting plants, too. A relaxing place to walk and a fun place to take photos.... More

It was a bit early in the season, but just walking the grounds, one can see that when all the landscaped gardens are planted, this will be a spectacular place to be. They did have a few tulips and other early Spring flowers in bloom and the dome entrance to the Garden was fun to see all the animals, trees... More

Sunken Gardens are always a delight. There's always something from Spring to Fall that's just arriving at its peak or you can plan another visit just in time to catch it bursting out.
