Small town . Nice shops and antiques. The old fort Sidney has a surprisingly good museum. Volunteer docents were friendly and informative. Check out the historical signs in Hickory Square, on 10th Street

Find out why Sidney Nebraska is called the Golden Link because something happened there in 1974. Read the posted historical signs. Stop in a few shops for home decor items. Have a beer and pizza nearby. Laid back is too strong a word.

Not much to Sidney . Just a few stores and restaurants .One Walmart that didn't have any I was looking for ( and that never hàppens) and a gro ery store. Nothing seemed historic about it,so don't drive a ways to see it .

This little town has lots of stores downtown unlike a lot of smaller towns I have been in. Extra Large Hardware Store had lots of things and the Furniture Store had some really nice things

The buildings are old but it does not seem to be an old historic down town as you would expect from the signs. I was not that impressed with the historic aspect. I think the advertising signs to this town hype it up a little...More
