I visited this place not knowing what to expect. It is located in an old building off the Main Street. It had period items from the history of Beatty and Rhyolite. It was somewhat put together from possible donations. I liked it!

Small but full of very interesting stuff. Also has lots of information about sights in and around Beatty. Staff is very helpful and answered all our questions about Beatty history and things to see.

Small museum, with lots of interesting household memorabilia. It's a mix of historical information about Beatty, and more generic displays of old-time appliances / electronics / equipment. Hours are very limited, but you could hike Death Valley in the AM and stop in the museum before closing.

We enjoyed this small museum that features information on the old days when gold miners ruled this area. Friendly staff that can direct you to other interesting things to see in the surrounding mountains.

It's free and has some interesting things inside but nothing really too critical to see. We stopped for about 30 minutes and there's a clean bathroom.

This place is amazing. Looks small from the outside but the history just goes on and on. Learn about MV and the gold rush and history of the area. You really should not miss this place.

I was looking for a "Yucca Mtn Science Museum" when I instead found this very interesting museum. There is no charge (although they will accept donations), but they have quite a good collection of local artifacts. In particular they have quite a good bit of information about the nearby Yucca Flats testing range where above and below ground nuclear tests... More

Stopped here to see the museum. Yes it is free, but you should leave a donation to help support these efforts. Museum will be expanding to a larger size with another building. Great information and nice displays. Staff was very happy to answer questions and had information about the Area. Worth your time to visit

For a small museum this has a wealth of information about the town and the surrounding area. The volunteer staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Admission is free. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
