Turn on Reservoir Road, then a quick right onto Lakeview to a gate near a fire hydrant. The "trail" is mostly paved and it is a short but steep grade. At the top there are smaller trails so that you can see nearly 360 degree vistas. Dog friendly! It is on the border of Nevada and California and at the... More

Stateline Fire Lookout may have the best view of Lake Tahoe. It is a relatively easy walk up, has gorgeous views, has free parking, is kid and dog friendly (there are even doggy doodie bags at the entrance), has informative displays and a bathroom at the summit. We lounged around at the summit, read the displays, enjoyed the views, and... More

I was staying in Incline Village and was looking for an easy scenic stroll. This was it! Easy to walk up with option to explore plenty of side trails. Spectacular views without needing to do lots of hiking.

Take the small walkway to the right near the top and see views of Agate Bay on the west, then loops around to the point view, then around to Crystal Bay. This shorter hike is a hidden gem.

The hotel staff recommended this place to us and mentioned this is the best view of the entire lake. They were absolutely right. The views were amazing and the hike was beautiful with all of the trees and nature. I was astounded by the natural beauty. The hike uphill is not too bad.

On a spectacular Monday afternoon (15 Aug) as we were taking our time driving from Olympic Valley, CA, clockwise around the lake to Stateline, NV, for dinner at Chart House, we stopped here to enjoy a nice hike to this beautifully arranged site. My wife and I have many fond memories of enjoying impressive views from this site. On our... More

This a very easy hike to take, and with lots of beautiful scenery of Lake Tahoe. There are several lookouts with historical sighs to read.

A nice easy (though with some grade to it) trail leads up a mile to some incredible views and fun little history markers. Didn't take us long to get up here except for the several geocaches along the way we stopped to find. The trail itself isn't much to scream about, but what you see up top is awesome. Beautiful,... You just have to be in awe at the natural beauty of this entire area. Views of the lake just show it's blue waters surrounded by green trees and mountains. Just beautiful

It's a bit of a walk to get up to the view, but well worth it. The walk is just over 1/2 mile each way. Fairly steep up-hill walk on a paved road to reach the site of the former fire lookout. Finding the access road is a little tricky: From Highway 28 on the north shore of Lake Tahoe,... More
