Earlier this week I attended a tourism event at the Western Folklife Center and was really surprised at the quality of the facility, friendliness of the staff, fantastic music and great food! Also appreciated the free and ample parking. Just awesome atmosphere! Highly recommend

You know what a riata is, but what about a mecate? Find out here along with other excellent folk arts like leather tooling. Learn about the Irish roots of Cowboy music. Belly up to the Pioneer Bar.

Stopped in out of curiosity and what a fun little place. Great gift shop and wonderful artwork. Wish the fantastic antique bar had been up and running but it was great to see.

Very nice museum exhibits, beautiful quilts on the walls, and many interesting photo exhibits. Also a well stocked gift shop with many unique items, books of cowboy poetry, CD's of cowboy music, clothes, jewelry, and other cowboy style items.

A tapas dinner was held here, and the old Pioneer Hotel was very finely appointed, and we enjoyed ourselves very much.
