You can pay for three parks at any one of the three. This was one of them. It was nice. Right on the water. And the rock is pretty cool looking. Only takes a little amount of time to check it out.

This is by far the most impressive view of the Lake anywhere. You are up high and overlooking the Lake with nothing between you and it. This is my favorite hike to take visitors on. Every ability level of hiker can make it to the...More

Cave Rock is one of the most amazing sites along the Lake Tahoe shoreline. The best approach is driving northbound on Highway 50 from Lincoln Park (east side of Lake Tahoe). Unfortunately, you can't get right up to the rock. There's a boat launch on...More

A bunch of friends brought me up here after spending the day at the beach and in the hills. There were plenty of spots to park where the trail begins and took about 15 minutes to hike up the top. Some of our party were...More

Cave Rock was recommended as a site for star-gazing. We decided to do it by daylight instead but were disappointed that the access road was closed. Not sure if this was to protect a sacred Indian site or for another reason.

Wow, we did this short hike to the base of cave rock and then climbed the rock. Scramble isn't quite how I would describe it, but, at 58, we both managed to find footing all the way to the top and wow, was it worth...More

this place offers stunning views and it was a sacred cliff for Tahoe Indians, unfortunately the tunnel was digged through which traumatized Indian tribes a lot, so please be careful and respectful to this historical landmark when you hike up

Great views from this site. Short walk from the parking (there is parking nearby but very limited). Well worth the time to visit Cave Rock.

Not a beach, hike to a vantage point overlooking the lake. For beach, try Kiva or Tahoe keys East Cove or anything on the East Shore Nevada State Park.
