Nice easy drive, a loop. We went early so we beat the crowd. Nice visitors center. We also did Valley of Fire the same day. So beautiful

It is one of our favorite spots to take out-of-town visitors. Unless it is at least 90 degrees in LV, bring your jacket - although the gift shop will always be glad to sell you a sweater/sweatshirt. It is easy to spend the day hiking...More

Had a terrific day, exploring, visitor Center and hiking. Do not forget lots of water, sunscreen and a hat. The visitor Center very informative, with lots of exhibits. Be prepared,to spend at least an hour here. Enjoyed a picnic at one of the trailheads.

Maybe for hikers it is good. For a normal tourist taste it is a bit of a bore, Red Rocks and nothing else really. If you have time to kill it is a max 3 hours programme from Vegas and back. Do not expect a...More

This a beautiful spot with some breathtaking rock formations. You can choose from easy hikes to some that are quite long and challenging. BE SURE TO BRING WATER! We made the mistake of forgetting.

This area is simply gorgeous. After a stop at the Visitor Center (not required) you can drive out onto the 13 mile scenic route. There are numerous stops to see the mountains and desert. The colors are amazing! A few of the stops allow you...More

I have 7 days to travel from Las Vegas to LA to San Diego and back. I'm trying to decide if this is a must see within that time frame. I will be flying into Vegas this June 25 and flying out July 2nd. I know it's about 4 hours to LA and I'm wondering if I can fit a tour of Red Rock or the Grand Canyon in on the way to or from SAn Diego. Any advise or input would help. Thanks

From Red Rock Canyon, I almost drove the 45 minutes to the California border just to say I had. If you're making that drive already, Red Rock is a quick, easy diversion if you stay in the car and only drive the 13-mile... More

Yes you can drive there from the Paris Hotel. Have the door man direct you to Charleston Boulevard and just take that straight to go locally. If you want to take a freeway; go to Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd. (the Strip... More

There is a fee to get into the area that contains the visitor's center and the loop. It is a national conservatory so it is maintained and that is what the fee is for. I think it was $7 for the car and it passengers. Well... More
