Close to Vegas by car. A nice nationalpark with beautiful red rocks. It gets very hot, even in October.

Went to Red Rock Canyon and did the car tour, had amazing views and lots of places to stop and take pictures. Would be worth doing the hikes when cooler

Just a short drive from the Vegas strip this park gives you a quiet break from the ringing bells, and traffic noise happening less than 20 miles away. The scenery is stunning and the hikes offer a level of difficulty that is mostly dependent on...More

The canyon is very beautiful and could be a great place for hiking. I would go early to beat the heat and the bulk of the crowds. Very cool loop drive through the park. Nice interpretive center.

A must visit place near Las Vegas. But not a good time to visit in summer. It's a good place for bikers. Whole drive in the red rocks is marvel. Loved this place.

The roads are a bit winding but it is traveled at a slow pace (I think it was about 25/mph). Also there are numerous stops along the way. The road is one way only. Once you start, you must go to the end. You might prefer to... More

From Red Rock Canyon, I almost drove the 45 minutes to the California border just to say I had. If you're making that drive already, Red Rock is a quick, easy diversion if you stay in the car and only drive the 13-mile... More
