Be sure to take a half-day away from the Strip to enjoy this natural wonder. It takes about 30-40 minutes from the Strip to get here, and even though the city's suburbs creep every so closer to the park, once you are there you feel...More

This area is only about 45 minutes from the strip and is a nice getaway from the hotel/casino scene for a day trip

This is a great place for tourists to go to get away from the chaos of the strip, and as a local, really enjoyable place to spend a few hours on the weekend. With the "America the Beautiful" pass from the National Parks Service, the...More

We went during the week, and this beautiful place never disappoints. LOw traffic, and loads of scenery in the mountains in Las Vegas. a decent gift shop and extra bathrooms were a benefit. Highly recommend.

Red Rock Canyon is a short drive from the strip, cost $7 admission for our vehicle of two hikers, and offered us a world of breathtaking vistas to enjoy and exciting trails to explore. Be sure to bring water and sunscreen, and know that the...More

I think too many people go past this stop en route to Zion and Bryce. But this has great accessible trails with stunning views. It is worth a stop and a few hours at least.

We decided to make the 30 minute drive to Red Rock Canyon from Vegas rather than see a show. I wish we got there earlier so we could spend more time there! It is absolutely gorgeous there! I had no idea this place even existed....More

If you only drive : 20 minutes. But you will stop for photos and the visitor center: plan 1 hour - 1 and a half if you have childrens and they do the junior ranger programme.

Depending of the heat and if you carry him OK. Otherwise, you should consider only the scenic drive.

Depending on the route, 15 - 20 minutes from the strip. Bike Tour: did not take this, but my opinion is that you better be in shape. Remember, it is a desert.
