A good hike. Watch out for rocks in the sand, we saw several trip and fall since they were looking up at the cliffs and petroglyphs. Just take your time and enjoy. If you are not used to the altitude or the desert heat, bring water. Watch for the "enterprise".

This is in Valley of Fire 🔥 State Park and is about 1/4 -1/2 mile from parking area. Pay attention on your way as there are Petraglyphs EVERYWHERE!!!! It was at least 10• cooler there than anywhere else we went in Park. We can see why this would be a coveted hideout and/or "home." Pretty amazing trek with those incredible... More

Tons of rock art to see here. The trail is mostly sand but easy. There is a parking lot/turn out in the park to use to access the trailhead. The rock formations here are crazy unique and pretty.

Rocks are fun to scramble on, but the actual Mouse Tank is a bust. Thankfully it is a short hike & you can still spend time at more interesting spots just up the road..

It makes you wonder what natural forces have led to these structures. The elephants rock is surprisingly close to the road (less than 20 meters, but as the parking lot is some 100 yards away it requires a little hike to get there.

Pretty easy hike, beautiful canyon hike. Petylegraph all along the canyon walls, most of them are on the dark sides of the canyon. There is some shade on this hike, but take plenty of water! Pretty hike!

The hike to Mouse's Tank isn't about the end result, it's about the casual and fairly easy walk featuring petroglyphs on the rocks around the path. Easy for families -- we saw baby wearing parents to grandmothers/grandfathers!

One of the cooler places to hike in the park, neat place, lots of cool petroglyphs that haven't been vandalized yet by idiots.

Mouse's tank is a quick 3/4 mile hike. You will find painting on the rocks dated back centuries. The entire hike is in sand so I wouldn't suggest wearing sandles.
